Anto & Me (2010)

I wrote and directed a one act play called Anto & Me. It's a comedy about a couple of Dublin misfits who unwittingly get involved with an underground crime syndicate. Heavenly pregnant and armed to the teeth, Laura must rescue her man Anto. It was performed over the course of a week in the Bank of Ireland theatre in Galway in 2010 as part of the Muscailt Theatre Festival.

Some press on the show can be found here.

Geriatric Saint Patrick (2009)

I wrote and directed a one act play called Geriatric Saint Patrick. A man claiming to be Saint Patrick battles with the government services to keep his bed at the nursing home. Along the way he muses about his life’s work, his legacy, ageing, and reality TV.

Knock (2018)

I wrote a full length play called Knock that I hope to stage at some stage in the future. It’s a work of historical fiction. Based on real characters it’s a fictionalized account of real events. This is the summary:

The play is set in the rural Irish town of Knock, County Mayo in 1879. On a rainy summer evening two American travelling showmen, who are wanted by the police, get stranded in Knock.
Without the means to travel to Westport to complete their journey back to the United States they must convince the locals to help them find passage. Their arrival in the town initiates a series of events that will change Knock, and its residents, forever.

If anyone would like to read it and give me any feedback (good or bad) I’d appreciate it! It’s here.

The Dowsing Man from County Clare (2023)

I wrote for this one act play for Scor and performed it twice with Barry Ó Séanáin & Liberty Mthunzi. Our first performance was at Woodlawn Heights in October 2022 in the Bronx where it won first place in the theatre section. We then got to perform it out of competition at the Symphony Space theatre on Broadway in January 2023.
